Breakfast Lecture with Anna Wahl: Gendering of Technology

Anna Wahls holds a chair and professorship at Gender, Organization, and Management in the Department of Industrial Economics and Management, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). In this lecture, she and Åsa Johansson (PhD student) will present how definitions of technology are to a large extent based on ideas of masculinities and men. The role of the engineer is formed by this discourse and practice, and often difficult to challenge from a gender equality perspective.

Framtidsfeministen, "Future Feminist," is a finance company making gender equal investments. Equalytics is a software company that gathers gender data to build a more equal future. Sandra will share her story starting from KTH, entering employment, and then becoming a serial entrepreneur.
